ABOUT THE MORNING
ABOUT THE SPEAKErS
Rosaria Butterfield is a former tenured English and women’s studies professor at Syracuse University who came to Christ in what she calls a “train wreck” conversion. Once a committed feminist and lesbian activist, Rosaria met Pastor Ken Smith and his wife, Floy, whose unexpected friendship and hospitality profoundly challenged her worldview. She encountered the gospel and surrendered her life to Christ in 1999.
Now married to Kent, Rosaria is a mother, grandmother, author, and speaker. Her books — The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert, Openness Unhindered, The Gospel Comes with a House Key, and Five Lies of Our Anti-Christian Age — trace her journey from rebellion to redemption. She now advocates for biblical hospitality, repentance, and courage in an age that opposes truth, urging Christians to hold fast to the gospel with conviction and compassion.
